Bournemouth Bach Choir was reformed in 1987. Since then it has developed a fine reputation and a large following, performing regular concerts with a professional orchestra.
It has given many highly acclaimed performances, including all the major choral works of JS Bach; the Brahms, Duruflé, Fauré and Mozart settings of the Requiem; Mozart and Haydn Mass settings, Brückner Choruses and Motets, and an annual performance of Handel Messiah in Christchurch Priory at Christmas time.
Tim Hooper has been the Musical Director since April 1992.
We are always open to newcomers and anyone who would like further information about the choir is invited to contact Carolyn Butterworth, Choir Secretary, on callyatiford@yahoo.co.uk.
Our concerts are nearly always on a Saturday evening and our weekly rehearsals are held most Sunday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in St. Luke’s Church Hall, Winton BH3 7LT
The annual subscription is £108 from 1st August 2008.
